Alex Foster is now IICRC WRT Certified!

Negative Air to Remediate Mold

This homeowner called SERVPRO of Saline County and SERVPRO of Hot Springs for mold remediation.  They had a leak behind a wall that had gone unnoticed for years.  A mold test was done and they found stachybotrys, which is "black mold."  

Our team quickly went to work and built a containment while they remediated the mold.  Air scrubbers were placed to create negative air and trap the airborne spores.

Bryant, AR Church Affected by Water Loss

This church was affected by the toilet supply line in the women's bathroom.  The water affected most of the sanctuary as well as some of the rooms in the back.  Our crew began the mitigation process and we were able to dry the carpet and contents so it did not have to be replaced.  

Fallen Tree During a Storm

This photo shows the damage that a roof leak caused by a fallen tree during a storm can do.  The homeowners were on vacation and had left the home unoccupied for several days.  When they returned, they were devastated!  SERVPRO of Saline County and SERVPRO of Hot Springs was able to arrive quickly, to mitigate the water loss so they could rebuild and get back to normal as quickly as possible.

During a storm event, water can flood a home only a few feet.  However, just because the water only touches the walls a few feet up, that doesn't mean that is the only area affected.  Water will wick up a wall and reach much further than one would think.  This photo shows a room after our team had performed "flood cuts."  They probe the walls to see where the moisture stops and then cut 2 feet above that, to ensure that there is no chance for microbial growth to occur.  We then dry the studs and area behind where the sheet rock once was.

Thermal fogging is a technique we use to remove odors from the home.  This can be performed for many types of odors, such as fire, smoke, and pet odor.  This photo shows our technicians fogging a home that was affected by smoke.

Water Damage in a Sorority House

This was the aftermath of a storm that caused this sorority house to flood.  The roof gave in and the damage was catastrophic.  The house mom called SERVPRO and our team was on site within an hour.  We were able to extract water and place drying equipment that day.  We laid out a plan and the following days we were on site removing affected drywall, debris and flooring.  This photo is just one of the rooms affected.  Three stories were damaged including students rooms, The Chapter Room, and the living room.  The process took about a week and a half but we were able make this disaster "Like it never even happened."
